The Tampa Bay fans seem to me like the worst fans in sports. The biggest contributing aspect for this arguement of this comes from the fact that that they are the EPITOME of fairweather fans. If you look in the stands of the Trop, you WONT SEE ONE PERSON WEARING AN OLD 'DEVIL' RAYS JERSEY, (you know the kind that they had before this year?) The facts go like this: Tampa Bay has an average crowd size of 21,301 people, 12th of 14 teams in the American League. Their ticket prices and concession prices are also one of the lowest, so the fans have no excuses not to show up. They are complete novices when it comes to watching baseball. They cheer at the stupidest things that don't merit a cheer, and are likewise silenced by plays that should not silence a home team crowd. When the calvary horn sounds, you can actually hear the Rays fans yell "chaaarge," like the tools that they are... I submit the Rays fans for the worst fans in sports. It's a pity they all have to shave off their pathetic "rayhawks" in shame! Lenny D... why you gotta turn a sports comment into a personal insult?
